Support, Advice, Info & Advocacy for Workers

The Community Unemployed Help Centre provides information, assistance, advice, and representation to individuals dealing with the federal government’s Employment Insurance program and Manitoba’s Employment and Income Assistance program.

The Centre is a nonprofit agency, United Way funded agency, and Its services are provided free of charge.

Young Worker Rights

Youth are a large and valuable part of Manitoba’s workforce.

SAFE Workers of Tomorrow provides presentations and training on occupational health & safety through a speakers’ bureau, wherever young Manitobans come together to learn.

Occupational Health

The MFL Occupational Health Centre (OHC) is a community health centre that helps workers, employers, and joint health & safety committees to improve workplace health & safety conditions and eliminate hazards.

Union Made Suppliers

Buying/supporting ‘Union-made’ means purchasing and choosing goods & services produced by workers belonging to a labour Union.

211 Manitoba

211 Manitoba is a free, confidential, 24/7 service that connects individuals to Public Services in government, health, and social services that are available across the province.

The service helps Manitobans who are looking to find the right community or social resource but don’t know where to start.
211 Manitoba also makes it easy for service providers and first responders to direct others to the right resource.

NEW! In addition to searching on the 211 Manitoba website, individuals can now call 2-1-1 to talk with trained professionals to help find and navigate the services they need.

Join CUPE President Emeritus, Paul Moist, on a powerful 1919-themed tour of Brookside Cemetery.  Discover the stories of  15 key individuals who played vital roles in the strike and dedicated their lives to improving conditions for all workers.

Affiliating

Affiliating your union helps build a stronger and more united labour movement in our community.

In order to affiliate, your Union Local can vote to join the Labour Council at their general membership meeting, and then will be asked to fill in an Application for Affiliation.
